Raabia Qadir
Raabia Qadir was born in Pakistan, grew up in the desert city of Multan, and spent some time in England, near the Lake District, in her early teens. She is a professional writer and curator.
She trained as an Animator with experience in film making while attaining her Bachelor degree in 2004. She has worked on design projects for international expos and museums. Leading designs of dioramas and animations. She currently holds the title of Director Planning and Development Olomopolo Media and has been part of the curatorial team of WOW Pakistan 2021,2022 and 2023.
Olomopolo Media produced the play she wrote ‘Mushk’ starring Nimra Bucha and Sania Saeed. The play found critical acclaim in its tri-city run in Pakistan.
Raabia has taught screenwriting and animation at her alma mater, Fatima Jinnah Women University for a number of years, and is part of a voluntary mentorship program for international women writers. Her mentees include published authors and accomplished film makers. While she has worked on a number of projects, both as idea generator and project manager, she is most enthusiastic about her writing. She is in the process of getting a copy edit of her first novel and working on her manuscript and an immersive performance.
